Maya on the way down from Alphubel

...now this is the last one. I promise.

It was really getting late now and there was little hope that the Mittelallalin upper terminal would still be open. Our car was parked 2500 meters below where we were.

Going down to Alphubeljoch was lots of fun and it was fast. However, from there we had to climb about 150m up a gentle slope of a glacier. Again, I started sinking in the snow knee deep. This was the most exhausting half an hour of the day. The weather was really spectacular and now we could see very well all we had missed on the way up.
